Peter Reichman Flowers
Partner: Flowers Long & Hatch LLP (1956-2018)
2016 Top 100 Lawyer
The American Society of Legal Advocates is an invitation-only, nationwide organization of elite lawyers in practice today who combine stellar legal credentials with a proven commitment to community engagement and the highest professional standards. Notable Cases…

Mr. Flowers worked exclusively in the criminal law field for over 30 years. He began his career by working for a criminal court judge doing legal research on cases.  From there he went directly to the public defender’s office in 1983 for necessary courtroom training in what he considered to be the extended educational process.  After two years at the public defender’s office, he joined a local law firm as their criminal defense division.  A few years later he started the firm Flowers and Gold, which practiced almost entirely in the criminal law field.  This firm eventually morphed into Flowers and Long in 2012 which is now Flowers, long & Hatch LLP.

During his career, Mr. Flowers litigated hundreds of criminal cases in city, state, and federal courts.  He served as one of the founders and President of the local defense bar association, the CDBA (Caddo Defense Bar Association), and served as a member and President of the Board of the organization that oversees indigent defense in our District and was a longtime board member of the LACDL (Lousiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers). Mr. Flowers tried and won dozens of jury trials ranging from Military Court Marshall’s to Federal Jury trials in court cases, homicides, and sex offenses.
